This year’s class of 2018 is loaded from talent in each sport.  There are athletes that have big offers such as Otis Reese who is committed to Michigan, Griffin Mcdowell who is committed to Mississippi State and Ty Terrell who is committed to Ball Sate. The football team has multiple of guys that sign Division 1 scholarships every year and this year the tradition is kept going.

Qwan Kendrick (12) said after being offered by Avila,”Receiving an offer felt good because I accomplished my goal but I’m not done. I know there are more bigger and better things that are yet to come.”

Ty Terrell(12) who transferred from the Dougherty County School System came here for a better opportunity to go to college. His success has just empowered him to go hard every day and never give up on his dream.

Terrell said,”It was a breath taker when the coach called to offer me but also a great feeling. I remember right after the phone call ended I ran into my best friend classroom, Dewberry(12) to tell him what had just happened because it was a moment that we had always dreamed of and eventually happening. He was more excited for me than I was for myself. After the day went by, in my mind I knew that I wanted more so I had to keep grinding and hope for the best.”

Although the football team attracts the most of attention for athletes receiving offers, there was one person who the student body had overlooked. Her name was Kaitlyn Louthan (12), a student athlete who plays soccer. She received her first offer from Middle Georgia State University.

Louthan said, “I was relieved to see that all of my hard work has paid off and that I get another chance at college ball.”

Lee County has become known as a powerhouse for recruits and plans to keep that going.
