Javian Johnson (12), senior guard, played one of his strongest season this year since he has been attending school here. Unfortunately with the season ending so short, he did just earn his first scholarship offer from a school in Miami, Fl (St. Thomas). He also finished out his senior season with being named 1st team all-region for 1-AAAAAA basketball which is a pretty big thing in this Albany, Lee county area.

He averaged about 24pts, 6ast, and 3 steals per game this year and those a pretty good numbers for any high school guard. A lot of people were wondering how he felt about getting his first offer and he said “I was happy since all the hard work and dedication into finally paid off.”

He is very proud of himself and what he’s accomplished because it is not easy to get a basketball scholarship and not many from Lee make it, but he can say he did.

For him being a senior basketball player he also had to be a great leader for the ones that will come after him and he did a great job with that. Javian got here his sophomore year and that’s when Coach Davis starting to go straight to work after he saw his potential and has had a good development ever since then now look at him. Coach Davis (Basketball head coach) has had a good amount come and go, but every since he acquired Javian he has a created a great relationship with him and now they have to go separate ways, but before he leaves Coach Davis said “I am very proud of Javian, all those long dog days has started to finally pay off.”

Coach Davis has been a great coach to Javian now it is time to start over with the younger class.

Javian is all about family and with that being said like every other parent they were proud especially his mom and dad they said “I am very proud of our son not everybody gets this opportunity to play college basketball.”

They are definitely a pair of proud parents of what their son accomplished.

Now that the season is officially over Javian’s parents will be looking forward to seeing who else will offer this young guard scholarship and where he will play college basketball.
